Mattress Mack bets $3.3m on Kansas Jayhawks to win 2022 March Madness

Mattress Mack is at it again. The popular Houston furniture store owner, Jim McIngvale, has decided to wager on March Madness in the hopes of breaking his losing streak. Mack is known for placing huge bets on major sports events, and late last week, he decided to drop $3.3 million on the Kansas Jayhawks to win it all. The final game of March Madness takes place tonight with the Jayhawks taking on the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Details of Mack’s Bet

Mack decided to use the Caesars Sportsbook app to place the bet. He chose the Jayhawks at +190, with his wager possibly resulting in a $6.27 million win. Mack placed the bet in Louisiana and Caesars posted about the huge wager on Twitter. The Jayhawks are on a role, and in their most recent game in the Final Four, the team defeated the Villanova Wildcats in New Orleans with a score of 81-65.

Now Mack has to wait and see how the team fares tonight in the final NCAA basketball tournament game. He has lost quite a few sports bets recently, so he is certainly due a win! The furniture store owner often provides promotions within his Houston store that are connected to his big wagers to drum up business and benefit his customers. He is doing the same this go-round, bringing in more customers who are hopeful that their purchases will be reimbursed if Mack manages to win this March Madness bet.

This time around, customers must make specific purchases in the store involving Made in America furniture pieces, Tempur-Pedic, Sealy Sleep, or Stearns & Foster mattresses.

Mack’s Betting History

So far, 2022 has not been a good year for Mack when it comes to betting. He lost that bet and then decided to choose the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl LVI game.
