2019 World Series of Poker begins this week (May 28th-July 16th)

The most popular poker festival is set to begin this week in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2019 World Series of Poker will kick off on May 28th and continue through July 16th, offering players a ton of poker gaming action. This is the 50th anniversary of the event, with players having access to standard WSOP events along with a special event titled, The Big 50.

Full Schedule of Events:

The 2019 edition of the WSOP is expected to feature over $200 million in guaranteed prize money. The series includes 89 events, with a variety of buy-ins and formats. From May 30th until June 2nd, the series will feature its ‘The Big 50’ special anniversary event. It will have a buy-in of $500 and provide players with 50,000 chips. The event has 50-minute levels, offering a $5 million guaranteed prize pool and the winner earning $1 million.

Ty Stewart, WSOP Executive Director, commented on the special event by stating: “We’re excited to commence our golden event. We expect our opening weekend Big 50 to be one of the larg 7BALL est in our history, and certainly one of the best value tournaments ever offered. This is part of our concerted plans to make the 2019 WSOP a better value all-around.”

Kick Off Events:

The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will play host to the series yet again, with casino employees taking part in Event #1 as always. The $500 Casino Employees No Limit Hold’em Event will be the first bracelet event of the poker series.

Event #2 is a $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty, lasting just two days. The fast structure is sure to be appealing to pros and amateurs alike. The schedule continues with The Big 50 as Event #3 along with a ton more action over the next two months in Las Vegas, Nevada!
