Over the weekend, the Wynn Millions came to an end, with 1,328 players taking part in the $10,000 buy-in event. The tournament boasted a $10,000,000 prize pool and with so many players competing, the total amount up for grabs was well over $12.4 million. In the end, it was Andrew Moreno who claimed the first-place finish, taking home over $1.4 million after securing the first-place finish after a three-way deal with Clayton Maguire and Toby Lewis.
Details of the Event
Once the Wynn Millions final table was determined, it would take just over 50 hands before the first elimination would take place. After that, players started to exit one after the other until only Moreno, Maguire, and Lewis remained.
Once Salimi Admon was out in fourth place, all three players were pretty even when it came to their chip stack. This caused the discussion of a deal to begin. The three players were able to agree on a seven-p payout for everyone and then took 10% of the prize pool to play for. The winner would earn $313,000 on top of the seven-p total that was set while the second-place finisher took home an additional $100,907.
Maguire would take out Lewis to start the heads-up poker round against Moreno. Soon after, Moreno would double up and Maguire was in hot water. The final hand would go down, with Maguire pushing with Ace-King and was called by Moreno with Ace-Queen. Two queens would show up on the board, helping Moreno secure the hand and the event win.

Before the Wynn Millions took place, Moreno took to social media to state that he was ready to focus on live poker and had set two goals. One goal was to move his career earnings past the $1 million mark, which he did after winning a Venetian event.
Secondly, he wanted to earn a seven-p payout. He was able to reach this goal after winning the first-place prize du 7BALL ring the Wynn Millions. Moreno now plans to continue playing live poker and will compete in the upcoming World Series of Poker this fall. He is expecting a son with his wife Kristy Arnett, so he will continue to play until the child is born and then take a well-deserved break from the game.
